Wanyama could be picked due to his experience in the international football scenes while Olunga would be picked due to his tactics of scoring goals especially for Harambee Stars and during his time at Gor Mahia. But there is one hero that always goes unnoticed; Eric Johana Omondi.

Johana is a former KPL player who played for Mathare United. The midfielder has contributed heavily in Kenya's recent development in soccer.

Even though he has scored as little as four goals for the national team, the 25-year-old midfielder has proven his reliability behind the ball at different scenes.

For instance, on 4th June 2016, Johana scored the winning goal for Harambee Stars again DR Congo at Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani in which Kenya won 2-1.

Johana loves to play at the Kasarani Stadium, where he has scored three goals so far in three matches.

The match that helped Kenya qualify for this year's Afcon competition was against Ethiopia at the same Kasarani grounds, where Johana unselfishly let Michael Olunga score a volley to give stars the lead.

He then scored the second for Stars, a thunderous left shot that flew past the Ethiopian keeper. He then had a hand in the third goal, after he was fouled in the box, resulting to a penalty that was converted by Victor Wanyama.

He was given the man of the match for his display.
