President Uhuru Kenyatta will yet again host ODM leader Raila Odinga at State House, slightly over three weeks after the two met for Building Bridges Taskforce update.
But this time, the meeting will take place at Kakamega State House, after Mashujaa Day celebrations for a luncheon hosted by the Head of State.
Mr. Odinga jetted into the country on Thursday after six days tour to China and Ethiopia respectively.
"Raila jetted into the country from China and Ethiopia trip today and will proceed to Homa Bay and Kakamega on Friday and Saturday respectively.
"At Homa Bay he will attend the funeral of Mzee Aketch Chieng' before spending a night at Opoda farm. On Saturday he'll join President Uhuru at Kakamega for Mashujaa Day celebrations and a subsequent luncheon," said a source privy to Odinga's itinerary but who requested anonymity.
Deputy President William Ruto, who is expected in Kisii on Friday, will also join the two leaders at Kakamega, despite his perceived political enmity with Odinga.
The three leaders shared podium in Murang'a during the burial of musician Joseph Kamaru amid Ruto's spirited fireworks against Odinga over proposed referendum.
Mr. Kenyatta is keen to keep the two for the sake of releasing his Big Four agenda ahead of his expected retirement in 2022.
The Kakamega trip comes in the wake of Ruto's increased tours to the populous region, which has however solidly backed Odinga since 2007.
