Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama is well known for his impeccable sense of humor.
Muthama, early this year, surprised the country when he said he would hit Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka on the head with a Bible if he fails to take an oath alongside former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Addressing mourners at a burial ceremony in Kitui County, the politician said he would take an oath as the People's President when the right time comes.
‘’I swear to God that if Kalonzo doesn’t take an oath, I will hit him on the head with a Bible," Muthama said.
Muthama later said the former Vice President didn't miss the controversial oathing intentionally.
He claimed police locked up Kalonzo inside a house at the time Raila was taking the oath.
Muthama said the same fate befell him when he went to get the NASA co-principal for the inauguration.
‘’Kalonzo had been put under house arrest. When I went to get him, I too was locked in. So, we couldn’t make it to the ceremony," Muthama said.
He, however, assured Kenyans that Kalonzo would take the oath later, what has never happened.
