Citizen TV seems to have moved on to fill the gap left behind by reporter-turn-presenter Jacque Maribe.
This is after the Royal Media Services owned TV station poached two leading political reporters from rival TV station, K24.
The two include Chemutai Goin and Apollo Kamau and the move has been interpreted by media watchers as aimed at bolstering the station's political desk.
Maribe is well versed in political reporting and was the lead political reporter for Citizen TV's political coverage of Jubilee Party presidential campaigns both in the 2013 and 2017 general elections.
Goin started her media career as a reporter at Capital FM before joining K24. She was, however, sacked alongside 70 other reporters in 2014 when K24 carried out a massive retrenchment exercise that critics termed as the worst in Kenya's media history.
Goin who was expectant then would, nevertheless, be recalled by the station ahead of last year's general elections.
Kamau, on the other hand, has worked with the national broadcaster, KBC, and Christian media network, Family Media. He joined K24 in 2007 as the current political affairs reporter and is known for his 'cool' composer while behind the camera.
Maribe was banned by High Court judge James Wakiaga from appearing on TV as part of the bail conditions that saw her released from remand.
The reporter is charged alongside her fiance Joseph Irungu for the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani.
