It is no longer a secret that whenever key political players visit a specific community, blending with the masses is a must-do.
The most common practice of blending well with a group is by simply adopting the community's signature dressing style and even taking a local 'alias' just to win the hearts and support of locals.
In light of this, opposition chief Raila Odinga during his Saturday visit to Wajir County identified and named himself as a member of the Somali community by rocking up to a white religious Kanzu.
What is even more interesting is the fact that Raila jokingly nicknamed himself 'Abdullahi'. The new title has become a topic on its own and now trending in Wajir.
"Look at me from the head to toe, am I not one of you (Somali)? You should know people. When I'm in Wajir my name is Abdullahi,' Raila joked amid wild cheers from joked from the many who had gathered for the fundraiser event.
In attendance at the function was Mombasa governor Hassan Ali Joho, Suna East MP Junet Mohammed, Gatundu,'s Moses Kuria among many other opposition members.
