Nyamira residents have reacted following the grilling of Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich for more than 6 hours at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Headquarters.
Rotich was summoned to the DCI officers over the Sh21 billion Kimwarer and Arror dams suspicious payments.
Angry residents have asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack Rotich.
"There is no need of allowing Rotich to be in office because a lot of money has been lost while he watch. The grilling at the DCI was a waste of time meant to divert Kenyans' attention," said Samuel Magero.
Ivy Mong'ina claimed that Cs Rotich may be colluding with few individuals to steal.
"Kenyans are suffering while few individuals are enjoying stealing. Rotich should be sacked failure to which more money will get lost," she noted.
Thomas Nyaanga argued that Rotich is being used by Deputy President William Ruto to steal money so that he can use the money to campaign in 2022.
"It is high time Uhuru should send Rotich home the way he did to former Sports Cs Rashid Echesa over incompetency. Rotich is busy diverting public funds to few individuals pockets to fund Ruto's campaigns," said Nyaanga.
