Borabu MP Ben Momanyi challenged some ODM politicians to curve their own political niche without Raila who is headed for retirement.

Momanyi said many ODM politicians have been depending on Raila to make for them major political decisions. This, he said, is akin to them 'worshiping' the former prime minister.

"I wish to advise ODM politicians to stop depending on Raila to make political decisions for them," said Momanyi on Thursday at his constituency's NG-CDF offices.

He further stated, "The youthful politicians should ignore Raila who has attained retirement age."

The Wiper Party MP said Raila's age mates are enjoying retirement benefits, therefore, he should join them and enjoy his retirement days.

"Raila should give room for youthful leaders in ODM party to take over the leadership of the party ahead of 2022. Politicians in the party should stop seeing him like the only one who will give political directions," said the lawmaker.

According to the legislator, youthful leaders in ODM party may end up losing focus in their political career if Raila will not accept to retire from active politics.

The Borabu MP the opposition should now be thinking of who they will front as their presidential candidate in 2022.
