Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama may not be leaving his London-based club this January.
According to reports, the Tottenham Hotspurs midfield maestro will look to leave the club, but only at the end of the current season.
This is according to his agent Ivan Modia Yanez, who spoke to different media houses.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to with Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma, with Premier League side West Ham United also interested in the Kenyan.
“There’s no chance that Victor will leave Tottenham in January, I’ve not had contact with Roma Director of Football Monchi regarding this issue,” Modia was quoted on Italian portal, LaRoma24.
Wanyama has been with Spurs from July 2016, but an injury he sustained last season affected his play, forcing coach Pochettino to drop him to the bench.
The Kenyan captain cost Spurs Sh1.4b but only managed 18 appearances last season, and this season has been worse with the recurrence of the same injury.
His position in the middle of the park has been snapped up by the likes of Dembele and Sissoko, who has been getting game time in the recent past.
