A Migori Court on Monday jailed a woman for life after she was found guilty of defiling a minor and infecting her with a Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI).
Rongo Senior Resident Magistrate Raymond Langat was told that the 22-year-old defiled his six year old employers son, a crime that was committed on March 30, 2019.
The convict who is a house help at the boy's home is said to have done the act being well aware that she was suffering from the said infection.
The court found out that she therefore deliberately passed it to the boy, reports the Citizen Digital.
Justice Langat was told that the woman has been on medication, and the boy has also since been placed on medication to prevent the possible health repercussions.
In his ruling, the judge confirmed that the evidence availed prove that the woman is guilty, agreeing with the prosecution that the victim suffered psychologically.
He ruled that she has 14 days to appeal the ruling, or otherwise continue serving her jailterm.
