Bonchari Member of Parliament John Oyioka has been accused of interfering with the census job recruitment exercise.
A section of locals in the constituency has accused the lawmaker of helping civil servants among them teachers who are his supporters to secure the jobs.
Cliff Real Musiq, a human rights activists from the constituency, criticised the legislator for allegedly favouring his supporters, adding that he should ensure inclusivity in his administration.
"It is unfortunate that Oyioka decided to interfere with the census job recruitment exercise by pushing his supporters to get the jobs while others who did not support him during the 2017 polls are locked out. Oyioka must stop being selfish, drop his political hatred and ensure inclusivity in his leadership," said Cliff.
Cliff accused the MP of sidelining his rival's supporters, thus denying youth in the constituency the jobs.
"Youths who were in the former MP John Opore's camp were locked out of the recruitment exercise. I urge the MP to serve residents without favouritism," he stated.
Speaking on Monday at Itibo, MP Oyioka dismissed the claims saying he is not interested in the census job.
"I have no interest in the census job recruitment exercise. Those claiming I am pushing my supporters to get the job are lying," he said.
