A form 3 girl attacked her father who attempted to rape her.
This happened on Thursday night at Nyagwekoa area, Bonyando, Kisii County.
It is alleged that the man, Juma Ongoro, attempted to rape her daughter, Bosibori, who is in form 3 at Iruma mixed secondary school.
“I was sleeping at around 12 am when I noticed someone was touching me while the lights were off. I tried to scream but my mouth was covered. I struggled to fight with the man and rushed to the sitting room where I put the lights on and found it was my dad who was naked,” said the girl.
She said this is not the first time her father has sneaked to her bedroom.
“Last year, he also sneaked into my bedroom but I spotted him before he could do anything to me. I beat him up because he was drunk and I am not going to allow him to rape me,” she added.
She noted that her mother is currently at her parents’ home in South Mugirango where she went to attend a funeral.
Charles Nyamira, area assistant chief said the man is a chang’aa addict who has given his wife hard time since he married her 0ver 20 years ago.
“Ongoro sleeps in a different house with his wife because the wife said she can’t continue sleeping with him in the same bed. I have summoned him to appear in my office tomorrow to solve the matter,” he said.
The chief warned men against raping their daughter saying the law will catch up with them.
