Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago has sent a message of condolences to the family and friends following the death Benjamin Kiplimo, the proprietor of Silverline hotel in Eldoret town.

Kiplimo was as a close friend of Mandago and he helped the governor during the 2017 hotly contested gubernatorial elections.

He died on Thursday through a grisly road accident at Annex along Eldoret-Nakuru highway.

Through his official Facebook page account, Mandago described Kiplimo as a kind, humble, friendly and a principled man who stood for what is right.

“I am still coming to terms with the reality of the passing on of my friend and Silver Line Hotel proprietor Benjamin Kiplimo Biwott through a tragic accident. I will always remember his dedication to my re-election campaign,” reads part of the post.

The governor said that the deceased worked tirelessly to build his business and made Silverline a brand name in Eldoret and beyond.

“My heart goes out to the family, friends and his business partners. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. It is very difficult to lose a friend, may his soul rest in eternal peace,” added Mandago in his Facebook post.
