Speaking during an Akorino event at the Moi Sports Center Kasarani, Uhuru lashed out at a group of Mt Kenya leaders whom he accused of disrespecting and demeaning him.

Speaking on Tuesday, the MP said that Uhuru was justified to venture into an outburst, saying that he had lost his cool after a long while of being defied by the group.

He observed that Uhuru had reached his elasticity limit, after the group continued defying his calls to shun early politicking, hence his breakdown into an outburst.

"Was he right to be angry? Yes and no. Yes because there is a lot of political noise in this country," he said in an interview on Citizen TV's News Night, Tuesday morning.

He said that just like any other normal human being, it was justifiable for the president to lose his cool and his actions should not, therefore, be overanalyzed.

"Was the president right? First of all I understand where he is coming from. First of all because he is human and its human to be upset and to be angry," he added.

Uhuru who has been calling for political calm and urging politicians to concentrate on service delivery for now also vowed to deal with the unnamed MPs in due time.

The remarks were seen to be targeted to members of the Tangatanga group, which has been advancing Deputy President William Ruto's agenda in both the region and nationally.

He agreed with Uhuru that yehre is need for calm, urging the group that has been actively involved in politics to cool down.

"It is wrong for politicians to go round the country ‘polluting’ the political environment. To that end, I agree with the President," he added.
