As Eldoret town prepares for the much-anticipated city status, the Matatu industry also seems not to have been left behind.
This is evident with the recent unveiling of a well-pimped matatu in the town.
Photos of the matatu already at work begun doing rounds on social media almost immediately it hit the road.
The matatu is the first of its kind in Eldoret town as it breaks away from the traditional 'dull' coloured matatus with a yellow line that has dominated the arguably fastest town.
The new 'nganya' as the current generation call it will be plying along the Eldoret-Chepkoilel route, probably targeting the University of Eldoret students.
