Activist Nyuki wa Kungu took on Facebook to congratulate Pauline Njoroge for reconciling with Mr Odinga after a divisive 2017 polls that saw the former viciously attack the latter.

Ms Njoroge was pictured with Raila at an hotel in Harare, a photo which excited social media users for the better part of Monday.

Subsequently, Pauline, a close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta, updated her Twitter account with Raila Odinga speeches at the ongoing conference.

"In the spirit of the handshake and Africa’s integration! With African Union’s High Representative for Infrastructure Development Hon. Raila Odinga on the margins of #PIDAWeek2018 in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe," she tweeted on Monday.https://twitter.com/paulinenjoroge/status/1067043462376288259?s=19.

Ms Njoroge along with Dennis Itumbi, headed a powerful inline time that articulated president Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election agenda and at times clashed with Raila's team.

So divisive were the two camps that the ODM team openly rebuked awarding of Ms Njoroge with Head of State Commendation award in October last year.
