Fresh details have emerged on how celebrated Egesa FM presenter Joseph Mochere alias Okebiro O'Mose struggled during his last hours on earth, the Standard has reported.
Mr. Mochere committed suicide in what family reveals was the culmination of a troubled marriage.
And his wife, Teresa Moraa, says that a day before Saturday's tragedy, he had threatened to kill his brother, herself and two children.
“He was armed with a knife and had become wild as he threatened to kill anyone in the house,” said Teresa Moraa, the widow, in an interview with The Standard.
But the two wrestled with him before escaping for their safety. The wife left for rural home with children hours to his death.
His father, Atandi Rabera, said the couple has been having wrangles four four years and they have even sorted counselling from priests.
“I would be preparing to bury five people in my compound had it not been for the intuition of his wife and his brother, who had gone to negotiate for peace in the family,” said Mochere’s father Atandi said.
According to the suicide note, Atandi claims that his wife has been suspecting him of having multiple love affairs.
His death shocked thousands of his fans across Gusii region with co-host, Nancy Kwamboka breaking down during Monday's programme.
