The Kenya national men's soccer team Harambee Stars might have been kicked out of the ongoing Afcon matches in Egypt but that doesn't mean that Kenyans are entirely off the Egyptian pitches.
Among the remnants is Dickson Okello, a Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) trained security personnel whose job is to ensure that calm is retained in the pitch.
Okello, also known as James Bond, will he heading all matters to do with security during today's final match pitting Senegal and Algeria, which were, ironically, in the same group with Harambee.
His job will be to ensure that all security measures inside the pitch are observed, as the world eargerly awaits to know the continental soccer champion.
As a result of his experience and apparently good job, he has been entrusted with many such jobs across the continent.
These include the second leg clash pitting Congo's AS Vita Club and Morocco's Club Athletic in last year's Confederation of African Football (CAF) games.
Federation of Ugandan Football Associations has since taken to Twitter to laud him ahead of the big game.
“Experienced FUFA, CAF and FIFA Security Expert Dixon Bond Okello will head Security matters at the Final of #TotalAFCON2019 between Senegal and Algeria on Friday. FUFA wishes Okello the best,” it tweeted.
