1. Implantation bleeding

These are streaks of blood that result from the attachment of a fertilized egg on the uterus wall. Usually, this happens only during implantation of the egg, or that time that you were supposed to get your periods.

2. Breakthrough

During pregnancy, there are hormones that will prevent a woman from experiencing her periods. However, when these hormones levels are not enough to prevent the periods, they will result in what is called a breakthrough bleeding.

3. Threatened miscarriage

This type of miscarriage occurs even before a woman realizes she is pregnant. Normally, it occurs within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. This could simply mean the fetus is damaged or a woman’s body has rejected the pregnancy.

4. Bleeding after lovemaking

Making love during pregnancy is not a bad thing. However, some women will bleed after a session of lovemaking. This is due to the increased blood supply to the cervix. This kind of bleeding is normal even when a woman is not pregnant. However, you should always see a doctor when you bleed during pregnancy.
