Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed now says at least 222 schools are planning to engage in examination irregularities.
With just two weeks to the commencement of Kenya Certificate for Secondary Education (KCSE) and Kenya Certificate for Primary Education (KCPE), Ms. Mohammed however says the ministry of ready to deal with the institutions under the microscope.
"We are also engaging the Attorney-General’s office and the Director of Public Prosecutions who how to deal with those planning on cheating," said Amina.
During the event at Kenya School of Government on Monday, her security counterpart Fred Matiang'i revealed that at least 70,000 police officers have been deployed to beef up security.
Dr. Matiang'i said he had held a meeting with the DCI and DPP in which they agreed to publish those involved in the vice.
"I met the DPP and DCI and we discussed about this. I have rescheduled my plans to ensure I support my colleague in ensuring everything is smooth."
However, ambassador Mohammed did not reveals the names of the instructions under probe during the event.
