Flamboyant businessman Don Bosco Gichana has received a major boost in his homecoming celebration scheduled for Friday, October 26, 2018 after a section of Nyamira residents said they are ready to welcome him back home.
The locals led by Kefah Moenga said Gichana's return is a new dawn in the Gusii region politics.
"We will be at Gusii stadium to welcome Mr. Gichana home on Friday. Those planning to disrupt the event will get it rough from us," he said.
Mr. Moenga maintained that there will be no crime welcoming Mr. Gichana home after languishing in a Tanzanian jail for 5 years.
Peter Ndiege challenged Gusii leaders to attend Gichana's homecoming party and stop misleading people.
"This is time Gusii leaders should show unity by giving the politician a warm welcome back home. The event should not be politicized since it doesn't qualify to be a political event," he said.
Florence Moige, a trader at Kebirigo market in Nyamira County assured that traders in the market will not miss at Gusii stadium.
"Plans are underway for all of us to attend Mr. Gichana's homecoming. We will stand with him no matter what," she noted.
