A KCSE candidate is now a guest of the state over an alleged plot to kill President Uhuru Kenyatta and the leader of the majority in the national assembly Aden Duale.
The Standard reports that the student’s intentions were on the English Paper One answer sheet.
The student is from Mandera’s Elime Bora Secondary School. The message was highlighted by Kenya National Examinations Council officials in Nairobi while preparing to mark the papers.
The case's hearing has been adjourned after Magistrate Duncan Mtai ordered that the accused undergo a mental assessment first.
The minor is facing treason charges. Marking of the KCSE exam papers is expected to start on December 7 to December 18.
Seven other students from Ambira High School are currently behind bars after they caught on video insulting Interior CS Fred Matiang'i and her Education counterpart Amina Mohammed.
