The driver, Ken Mo, took to a local WhatsApp group where he accused the MCA of failing to make his employment official.

Ken further claimed that the lack of a salary has caused him and his family to survive on handouts.

"Imagine I have been Hon Dennis Ombachi's driver since devolution started. I am asking my fellow youths to ask him why he doesn't want to assist me to get my formal salary for these years," posted Ken on the group.

"He has been lying to me for a number of years that my salary will be accumulated. I don't know who has been getting my salary during this period," he added.

The MCA has however rubbished the claims, terming them as propaganda aimed at tarnishing his name.

"These are malicious claims meant to destroy my reputation," said Ombachi when reached for comment.

The MCA, however, declined to answer any further questions.

A section of youth from the region led by Steve Junior and comedian Andrew alias Antivirus has vowed to push to ensure Ken Mo gets his dues.

"We won't allow politicians to use and dump young people who are fighting for their space in this county," said Steve Junior.

"We will push and push to make sure we get to the bottom of this matter and help this young man," he added.

On his part, Andrew argued that the MCA has the capacity to ensure Ken gets permanent employment at the Kisii County Assembly.

"Ward reps across the country are entitled to a Sh19,500 driver allowance and salary. Let Mr Ombachi help this young man get attached to the assembly for easy handling of the matter," said Andrew.
