It has now emerged that the pilots of Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX-8 plane that killed 157 people tried to avert the accident but their efforts proved futile.
According to reports on The Wall Street Journal, the pilots followed all the emergency steps before the plane crashed leaving all the passengers on board dead.
The report outlined that the pilots were abreast with all instructions from the manufacturer before they flew the plane.
The airline crashed moments after leaving Addis Ababa Airport in Ethiopia on its way to Nairobi, Kenya.
The accident raised safety concerns regarding the plane, forcing China, America, Ethiopia and other nations of the world to ground its operations.
So far, investigations have revealed that the pilots, who also perished following the accident, following the procedures of turning off the Manoeuvring Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS) but they were unable to get the plane on track.
The pilots reportedly switched back the system while trying to get control of the plane before it ended up crashing.
It has also been revealed that the MCASs were the major cause of the crash after they failed in both accidents.
