The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) in a series on tweets explained how a trap was laid leading to the arrest and detention of the culprit.

According to EACC, it all started in January this year when a student filed a report at the commission.

After the report, EACC started investigating the incident and made a breakthrough when the lecturer accepted some money from the commission's detectives.

After the arrest, he was presented in court where he was fined Sh450,000, and sentenced for three years over corruption-related charges.
