Steven Keino, a 39-year-old Eldoret based medicine man also a witchdoctor commonly referred to as 'Daktari' by locals has become a talk of the town after it was revealed that he earns thousands from the traditional medical services he offers.
Keino, a father of three says he acquired 'powerful' powers to heal from his grandfather and has made it be a source of income to his family.
"I was blessed by my grandfather and it was a sign that he had given me those powers to heal," Keino said.
"I use traditional medicine and most people recognized me after I healed a young man who had problems with his private parts to which most hospitals could not handle. After that man was referred to seek medical from abroad, I was approached by his family to save the situation to which I did perfectly and the man was healed," he added.
It was after this that Keino's services took another high level and immediately increased the fee he charged for every service offered.
He, however, notes that charges for the service differ as he gets customers from both the rich and the poor in society.
"Due to the fact that the rich are my everyday customers, I tend to make a huge amount. When I do my monthly income calculations they are between Sh90,000 to Sh120,000," said Keino who also offers free medicinal tips on some market days to show his ability.
Apart from improving his standard of living, Keino also pays school fees for his children and some of his relatives.
