Kibwezi East MP Jessica Mbalu has defended Deputy President William Ruto over the Ipsos survey that rated him as the most corrupt leader in the country.
Mbalu claims that the survey was malicious and meant to injure DP Ruto's image.
Speaking in Kibwezi Town on Saturday, Mbalu said the survey lacked objectivity.
The Wiper MP accused Ipsos of targeting to tarnish the images of certain leaders.
"The Ipsos survey was done in bad taste and meant to divide the country by giving false and malicious information," Mbalu said.
The MP told Ruto to sue the firm and compel it to reveal the 'forces' behind the survey.
She asked research firms to focus on objective and meaningful opinion polls instead of running malicious surveys.
Last week, Ipsos released a survey that ranked Ruto as the most corrupt leader at 33 percent.
The poll ranked Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru at 31 percent.
Both DP Ruto and Waiguru have since rubbished the poll terming it as the working of their political enemies.
Waiguru has since threatened to sue the research firm.
