A section of leaders from Nyamira have lauded EACC's decision to arrest Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong over fraud related case.
On Wednesday, Ojaamong, a close ally of NASA leader Raila Odinga, was apprehended along with nine other officials over fraudulent procurement of solid waste management services.
And ODM treasurer Timothy Bosire has joined other leaders in backing the ongoing crackdown on government officials believed to have misappropriated funds.
"This is certainly a good gesture. EACC should bring a lot more on board if at all we are serious in fight against graft," he told the reporter.
Borabu politician Patrick Osero added: "Nobody should be spared. Let them face the law squarely and this is the only was we can ensure devolution works."
In a rejoinder on Tuesday, Ojaamong insisted that he is ready to face graft agencies after the DPP recommended his prosecution.
Sources intimate that Ojaamong is among at least 10 governors who could be arraigned in court soon over graft charges.
