Martha Wanjiru, the mother of a form one student has called upon the police to help in unravelling the mystery behind the death of her daughter.
Ebbie Noelle, the form one student from Gatanga CCM Secondary school is reported to have died on Saturday, March 9, under unclear circumstances.
According to a Facebook post shared by activist Boniface Mwangi, the school administration has failed to give a satisfactory account of events that led to the death of the student.
Wanjiru is said to have received a distress call from the school informing her to go to Naidu Hospital in Thika to check on her daughter who was unwell.
She, however, says that the hospital informed her the daughter was already dead when she was brought in.
Wanjiru claims that after conducting three different autopsies, it has emerged her daughter died from a head injury inflicted by a blunt object.
"...3 different autopsies conducted by the government pathologist, the school’s pathologist and an independent one, hired by the family, have all proven that my daughter died from a head injury inflicted by a blunt object," the Facebook post read in part.
Wanjiru now says that the autopsy report contradicts the account given by the school principal who claims that the girl failed to wake up after she took part in a cross country race.
The story has since attracted public attention with a section of Kenyans urging the Ministry of Education and other relevant authorities to step in and establish what led to the death of the young girl.
