Kisii county Woman representative Janet Ong'era has accused Migori governor Zachary Okoth Obado of being behind the brutal killing the Rongo University Sharon Otieno.
The ODM MP stated that the governor should not be left to walk free.
"It is sad that the governor could plan the killing of Sharon who wanted to expose him after he dumped her. The governor should be held accountable for the brutal killing of the varsity student who had a bright future," she said.
According to her, Obado's personal assistant who is in custody was working under instructions from the governor to abduct the deceased and have her killed.
"The deceased family must get justice. The DPP should not spare Obado because we are all protected by law irrespective of our positions in society," she said.
"I send my sincere condolences to the family, relatives, nd friends of Sharon Otieno. May our God give them fortitude to bear this great lose . Their pain , I can imagine is unbearable."
The MP was speaking on Saturday in Kisii town where she urged female university students to avoid chasing sponsors for money.
