The government of Garissa has announced that it has taken major steps to facilitate the influx of investors to the region.
Speaking during the official opening of Landmark Park Resort in Garissa, Deputy Governor Abdi Dagane disclosed that the county will provide the necessary infrastructure including land to potential investors.
Dagane further disclosed that the county government will provide vital amenities like reliable water supply and all-weather roads to attract investors who would be willing to set up factories and other businesses in the Northeastern county.
While launching the resort owned by one Khalif Abdullahi, the deputy county boss reiterated the government was committed to ensuring that investors' demands are attended to owing to their key role in the local economy.
Dagane cited the recent passing of the Trade Bill which he said, has attracted a number of investors.
We have created incentives to attract investors willing to put their money in Garissa by providing them with free land and access roads as well as supply water," the Deputy Governor said.
