Deputy President William Ruto landed at Moi Siongiroi Girls High School in Bomet minutes past 1pm on Sunday ahead of meeting with former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto.
The meeting likely to be held at Governor Joyce Laboso's office is a culmination of underground deals between Ruto's allies and Mr Isaac Ruto, which would see him recruited to cabinet soon.
Present at Bomet African Gospel Church where a fundraiser will take place before the meeting are Governor Laboso, all MPs, former CS David Chirchir, Dr Julius Kones, Eng Peter Mosonek among others.
The entire leadership ushered in the DP, just a month after most of the MPs walked out of his function with President Uhuru Kenyatta, not far away from the AGC, Siongiroi.
Last month, a powerful delegation led by Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago and a host of Rift Valley leaders visited Mr Isaac Ruto in Chepalungu where they delivered DP Ruto's message.
Insiders say that in exchange of joining cabinet in few days time, Isaac Ruto is expected to cede CCM party to DP for revamping as an alternative vehicle in 2022 should things backfire in Jubilee.
Also, the move is aimed at thwarting Gideon Moi and Raila Odinga's strategy of swaying Rift Valley from Ruto because the former governor is a close ally of the two and a key player in the Rift Valley politics.
Ruto narrowly lost to Governor Joyce Laboso in 2017 elections but the two have since joined hands together for stability in the region.
