An elected Governor allied to Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party has reacted over allegations that NASA leader Raila Odinga is committed to split Jubilee party.
Kisii Governor James Ongwae defended the former Prime Minister saying he is not interested to split the ruling party.
"The claims that Raila is after splitting Jubilee party are false because Raila only agreed to shake hands with President Uhuru Kenyatta for the sake of bringing peace in this country," he said.
Ongwae accused Deputy President William Ruto's close allies of linking Raila over Jubilee wrangles.
He said Jubilee party leadership should put the party into order.
"Ruto's aides should stop associating Raila to Jubilee wrangles. They have sensed danger in 2022 and now they are out to seek relevance ahead of the 2022 polls," he added.
The vocal governor reiterated that politicians should keep off early 2022 campaigns.
"This is the time we should serve the electorates and not engaging in campaigns. I am appealing to politicians to focus on service delivery to boost the lives of our people," said Ongwae.
