Baraza was on Wednesday night hosted by journalist Tony Gachoka during his 'Point Blank Show' where she called for judicial reforms and accused some judges of deliberately slowing some court processes.

"We are not getting judgments as fast as we should. We should monitor the speed at which we deliver justice to the Kenyan people," she noted

However, the remarks did not go well with Miguna who criticised the former DCJ saying she had no credibility to comment on court proceedings following her ouster from the judiciary.

Baraza resigned in 2012 after a tribunal appointed by then President Mwai Kibaki to probe her which recommended her sacking over gross misconduct.

She was accused of assaulting a security guard, Rebecca Kerubo, at Village Market in Nairobi on December 31, 2011.

Miguna opined Baraza was guilty of assault and noted the former top judge, who is now a senior lecturer at the University of Nairobi, should have been imprisoned.

"You pinched Kerubo's nose, threatened her with a loaded gun and got away with it. You should have spent time in jail for assault and threatening Kerubo with bodily harm and death.

Nancy Baraza has zero credibility to speak about the judiciary. No jurisprudential record," he tweeted.

Addressing the issue, the former DCJ termed the Kerubo's event as unfortunate but noted it was blown out of proportion by her colleagues in the judiciary who wanted her thrown out of the top court.

“What happened was unfortunate. But I think it attracted other malevolent forces from outside. I think other forces joined the war and that is why I say I was not treated fairly,” said Baraza.
