Popular Kikuyu secular artist Gachathi Wa Thuo has vowed to continue singing secular music despite getting saved.
Speaking during an interview on Njata TV on Thursday, Gachathi noted that people get saved for different reasons.
He said that there are those who seek the face of God because they want eternal life after they leave this world.
"For me, I view it differently. The main reason we should seek salvation should be to help us live well with others and redefine our relationships with God. Eternal life should just be a top-up for a life well lived on earth," said Gachathi.
He added that he will continue to do secular music aimed at teachings his fans on how to 'live well in this world'.
At the same time, he performed his newly released song 'Kiura Ruuga', which he said has been informed by the ongoing domestic violence where some couples more so men annihilate their entire families.
"People have been preached to long enough in churches and through gospel music yet we continue to witness these evils. That is why I want to minister to my fans through thematic secular music," he said.
The song basically advises couples especially women who may be undergoing abusive marriages to quit them immediately before things turn from bad to worse.
