Residents of Bisunu location in Sirisia constituency are mourning a villager who was allegedly stabbed to death by his sister-in-law for failing to bring home fish for supper.
It is said that the accused emerged from the kitchen and stabbed the 35-year-old who was locked in an argument with his wife Caro Nafula after failing to deliver the meal.
Khaemba had reportedly promised to buy fish on his way back home after selling the ballast the two had prepared, but instead came empty handed, saying he had given the building material on credit and was yet to be paid.
According to his brother Pius Khamala, he was stabbed on the left side of the stomach, which saw him lose a lot of blood, resulting in his quick death.
"The sister-in-law emerged with a kitchen knife and stabbed him on the left side of the stomach," he was quoted by the Mediamax on Sunday.
The witness added that the suspected killer has been loving around and immediately tossed the killer weapon in the pit latrine after stabbing him once.
”My brother succumbed to knife injuries after he was stabbed just once by his sister-in-law Doricas Muchanga who has been staying around,” he added.
Both women are being held at the Sirisia Police Station while the body of Khamala was moved to the Sirisia Hospital Morgue.
