Ruto in an address to residents of Turkana County on Saturday firmly held that those who were anticipating changes were out of order. He stated that there would be no changes in the leadership structure of the country.

"Those saying there are changes expected are wrong. The changes Kenyans want are not about changing the lives of leaders and allocating leadership positions. This country does not belong to politicians and I want to tell you that Kenyans want development," he stated in Turkana on Saturday.

Raila Odinga on Friday told Kenyans to be ready for massive changes ahead of the 2022 general elections. He also warned factions opposed to the move, noting that they would be swept away by the wave.

Speaking at the homecoming party of Nyatike MP Tom Odege, a stern Odinga maintained that the changes were crucial to the existence of the nation.

Ruto was in Turkana County for the commissioning of the construction of ARO Teachers Training College. A host of area leaders who attended the function assured the Deputy President that they were firmly in Jubilee Party.

Governor Nanok stated that Turkana County will not support constitutional changes that will not benefit locals.
