The new fake Kenyan currency is in circulation because a number of people are clueless when it comes to identifying it.

Kenyans should be on toes and on the lookout since you may end up with fake money

If you have been keen  enough, you will realize that the new currency has a lot of features like the bars depending on the note, bears the image of Kenyatta International Conference Center, landmarks among others.

The fake money has the same outlined features and therefore it is not that easy to know if it is genuine.

There are different ways of recognising the money by simply feeling its texture and looking at the mentioned features.

But, have you ever thought of using water to identify it?

Well, this is among the recent ways of telling whether you have a genuine money with you or not.

This is how you will go about it

In a small basin or even a cup containing water, dip the note(s) and note the following observations;

Genuine money will  retain its form and texture. Water won't affect it in any way. It will remain unimbrued. It is waterproof/water resistant.

On the other hand, the fake money will fade out and become weak after being soaked in water.
