Speaking in Mombasa on Sunday, Ruto claimed that the former Prime Minister is using his March 9 truce with the President to force him out of the party.

In an interview on KASS FM Thursday morning, Duale claimed that Raila is envious of Ruto's shining star, as his presidential ambition for the approaching 2022 general election continues to solidify.

He added that Odinga is, therefore, bitter after Ruto cost him his own presidency in 2013, courtesy of Ruto's 2010 cross-over to President Uhuru Kenyatta's side, a move that saw Raila lose to Kenyatta.

"Raila ako na chuki na Makamu was Rais eti kwa sababu Ruto aliungana na Rais Uhuru wakamnyima urais 2013 na 2017 (Raila cannot stand Ruto for costing him his 2013 and 2017 presidential bids)," he claimed.

On Sunday, Ruto who was once a member of Raila's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party before moving out accused Raila of now seeking his exit from Jubilee.

He, however, noted that the same will not happen, cautioning Raila that his political tricks will not be effective in the ruling side.

"Alinufukuza ODM na sasa eti amenifuata Jubilee. Ajue hilo haliwezekani (he is now again after me after pushing me out of his party but that is impossible)," said Ruto.
