President Uhuru Kenyatta has reshuffled his cabinet slightly 10 months into his second term.

The changes comes at the time the president is crafting measure in fight against graft which has dented his administration in the last six year.

Industrialisation Cabinet Secretary Adan Mohammed moves to the ministry of East African Community which was under former Meru Governor Peter Munya.

Munya, a vocal pro-devolution advocate will now take over Industrialization docket.

Notably, Mohammed was rocked in a controversy few weeks ago over contraband sugar, which his Internal Security counterpart Fred Matiang'i claimed that contained perilous Mercury.

Also brought in as Chief Administrative Secretaries are Colleta Suda (Education) and former West Pokot Governor Simon Kachapin, who takes over as CAS in Energy ministry.

The reshuffle also saw Uhuru appoint a number of Principal Secretaries in what State House Deputy Spokesperson Kanze Dena said aims at promoting effective service delivery.

Among the Principal Secretaries, the notable change involved moving of Nelson Marwa from Devolution docket to Senior Citizenry Protection.

Interestingly, Manoah Esipisu, the State House spokesman, was nominated by Uhuru for ambassadorial roles. 

He will be joined by former Energy Minister Ochillo Ayacko and outgoing Air-force commander Samuel Thuita in Parliament for vetting as envoys.
