A middle-aged man shocked villagers of Amasago in Keumbu, Kisii County after he was caught red-handed with a neighbour's cow in a bush on Friday evening.
Confirming the incident area chief Henry Nyang'au said the man Maurice Obwocha drove the neighbour's cow into the bush before he allegedly had sexual intercourse with it.
"Obwocha found the cow tied at maize stalls grazing when he drove it to a bush, tied it and started having sex before pupils who were returning home from school spotted him," said Nyang'au.
Nyang'au said the pupils started making fun of the man prompting members of the public to respond.
"Members of the public rushed to the scene and apprehended the man, beat him up thoroughly while he was naked," he added.
He said later the suspect was frog-marched naked with the cow to the neighbour's homestead where the residents resolved that the man will take the cow and buy another cow for the neighbour.
"The suspect was given until Sunday to buy another cow to replace the one he was found having with sex. Men should consider marrying and stop chasing livestock for sex," he added.
