Segut residents in Elburgon have lynched a man who allegedly murdered another man he suspected of having an affair with a woman he wanted.
According to Elburgon Assistant County Commissioner Naftali Korir, the two men were reportedly having an affair with the woman.
The first man bumped his rival in the house of the woman and pounced on him with a blunt object.
He hit him on the head killing him on the spot.
Irked residents attacked the killer and lynched him.
Joseph Korir said the woman in question was cheating on the two men.
“The woman has caused these deaths because she was double-dealing them. She brought bad omen to this village,” Korir said.
The two bodies were taken to Elburgon sub-county hospital mortuary.
By the time of going to press, the woman in the love triangle, described by residents as charming, had fled the area.
