Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka has disowned Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula after he announced his exit from NASA coalition.
Speaking during an interview with Egesa FM on Surtady, Onyonka who was elected on a Ford Kenya party ticket during the last year’s polls said Wetangula’s announcement should be ignored and does not shake the NASA.
“These are cheap threats which should be ignored. Wetangula has his personal political interests he is serving. He can’t just wake up and tell Kenyans that he has left NASA with the party,” he said.
The vocal MP said Wetangula should accept to work with the government as ODM party did and not leaving NASA coalition.
“Ford Kenya, ODM, Wiper and ANC makes up NASA coalition. I wish to urge my brother Wetangula to consider working with the government for the sake of development instead of exiting NASA which all parties struggled to build up,” he added.
Onyonka said NASA elected leaders should work with the Jubilee leaders since it is not time for politics but delivering services to Kenyans across all the political class.
NASA coalition has been facing in-house fights with Wetangula seemingly unpredictable.
