Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo was arguably the busiest politician in the nation on Saturday, judging by his tight schedule which he seems to have successfully beaten.
The youthful lawmaker traversed the larger Siaya county attending funerals and a memorial function of a departed politician.
He began in Alego which falls under the Alego Usonga constituency where he attended the funeral ceremony of Bernadette Konjalo, before proceeding to Yimbo to pay his last respect to Angeline Ogola.
He also joined other politicians for the funeral ceremony of the celebrated sports personality James Radido alias Oduor Cobra in Ugenya constituency.
In a tweet, he added that he later proceeded to Gem Malanga for the 50-year memorial ceremony of former politician and area lawmaker Argwins Kodhek.
"Long Day paying Last Respects to Bernadette Konjalo(Alego), Angelina Ogolla(Imbo), Alice Oloo(Imbo), & Oduor”Cobra”( Ugenya). Capped by attending the 50Yrs Memorial Of CMG Argwings-Kodhek in Gem Malanga. All that, with Colleagues," he wrote.
Kodhek died in 1969 along a road that would later be named after him in Nairobi.
Leaders who accompanied Amollo to Cobra's funeral included area Senator James Orengo and Gem MP Elisha Odhiambo.
Others were Alego Usonga MP Samuel Atandi and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General Edwin Sifuna.
Currently, only Deputy President William Ruto is known to have been such busy and has been attending numerous functions in a single day under the narrative of inspecting government development initiatives.
