For the third time in a week, Deputy President William Ruto shared podium with oppostion leader Raila Odinga, with Thursday's meeting held in State House.
Tasked to take charge of the event where women leaders were awarded in various disciplines, Ruto gladly invited Raila to the podium.
And after an eloquent historical approach in his speech, Ruto tasked Raila to confirm with Mama Ida rebukes being called 'Raila's wife'.
"There is a story I hear that Mama Ida, when she makes introduction, she does mention Raila's name as the husband.
"Instead, she would ask you if you ever introduce Raila as Ida's wife," he said as those present including Raila burst into laughter.
When delivering his speech, President Uhuru Kenyatta also said he's interested to know the 'truth' about the story.
Ms. Odinga was awarded Order of Elder of Golden Heart award due to his contributions in the social-economic and politics of the country.
Also awarded were Nyiva Mwendwa, Grace Onyango, Julia Ojiambo and Phoebe Asiyo among others.
