Speaking during an interview with Milele FM on Thursday, the outspoken Governor said that the presidency is not anybody’s right.

He asked the presidential aspirants for 2022, where Deputy President William Ruto is one of them, to tell the nation the change they will make that they cannot implement at their current posts.

Mutua demanded the aspirants to explain what they will offer Kenyans that they cannot offer now adding that you cannot be President because you feel like you should be.

“Why do you want to be President? What will you do that has not been done? What will you do that you have not been able to do in the current position you are in? Do you want to be President because you feel you have a right to be President? Or you want to be President because you want to be President because you want to take Kenya to the next level? What will you give Kenyans that you have not been able to give them from where you are right now? What more will you offer Kenyans? What more can you give us as a country?” asked Mutua.

However, he added that he is not only talking about DP Ruto and the presidency but he is also talking about any aspirants salivating for any post in the country.

“Siongei about DP Ruto, naongea kuhusu wale viongozi wote wanataka kuwa rais, viongozi wote wanataka kuwa governor, viongozi wote wanataka kuwa senator (I am not talking about DP Ruto, I am talking about every leader who wants to be the President, a Governor or a Senator),” clarified the Machakos Governor.
