Addressing journalists on Tuesday, the county boss lauded the move, arguing that all the KVDA stalled projects can now be revived under the new leadership.

“There is now hope that the twin-projects of Kimwarer and Arror dams could be revived after the removal of Kimosop who is facing accusations of presiding over the alleged theft of Sh21 billion in the implementation of the twin projects which are now under probe,” said Tolgos.

Governor Tolgos noted that Kimosop should vacate office immediately, threatening to mobilise residents to eject him if he fails to do so.

"He should now vacate office immediately and hand over to his deputy Francis Kipkech as directed by the Board without any delay failure to which I will mobilise the rest of North Rift county governors and residents to forcibly eject him,” said the governor.

Tolgos further argued that the extension of Kimosop's contract was illegal, adding that he should be surcharged for the few months he has been illegally occupying office after the lapse of his two consecutive terms.

“I will personally move to court to ensure the outgoing MD is surcharged for the illegal extension if he continued dillydallying without handing over,” he said.
