This is after area lawmaker Aisha Jumwa interrupted the party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna's speech during the funeral service of Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi, forcing him (Sifuna) to leave the podium humiliated.

But Aladwa who is the party Chair in Nairobi county has noted that Sifuna attended the function not as a person but on behalf of the party, and was representing Raila.

"Sifuna alitumwa pale na Raila, huyu ni kiongozi was chama (Sifuna attended the function on behalf of Raila and the party)," he said on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi early Saturday.

He took issue with Jumwa's excuse that Sifuna's politicking at the function was intolerable, noting that it was a political function in itself.

According to the vocal lawmaker, the fact that the deceased was a father to a politician made the function a political one, and blocking Sifuna was unjust.

"Yale yalikuwa mazishi ya baba ya mwanasiasa kwa hivyo siasa lazima zingekuwepo (the departed is a politician's father, that made politics unavoidable at the event)," he added.

The function was held at Jilore.
