Deputy President William Ruto on Friday, June 21, hailed individuals he said are behind the success of the Rivatex textile factory in Eldoret.
President Uhuru Kenyatta was at the factory on Friday to launch the factory after the government revamped it.
During the function, DP Ruto took the moment to praise head of public service Joseph Kinyua and former Moi University Vice Chancellor Richard Mibey for their contribution to the birth of Rivatex.
“Mr President I want to take this opportunity to thank the head of public service Joseph Kinyua because he has ensured that this project succeeds. Another person is Professor Mibey, who was once my teacher. People were asking what university students were coming to see at Rivatex, now you can all see the fruits,” the DP said.
Ruto also used the opportunity to heap praises at the president as he pledged his support.
“I want to assure you that I will be your principal assistance and I will ensure all the leaders here follow that road. Like they have been today,wameonyesha tabia mzuri,” Ruto said.
