Rivatex East Africa Limited, a textile company in Eldoret town has dismissed reports doing rounds on social media that they are recruiting new staff.
In a letter posted on its Facebook page, the company said they currently have no job vacancies.
There have been several posts online indicating the company that was recently reopened by President Uhuru Kenyatta was employing new staff.
The company has however asked members of the public to ignore such posts terming them as fake.
It reiterated that their recruitment process is always made public through their website and local dailies.
"We are aware that following President Uhuru Kenyatta's recent visit, there is a lot of information circulating on social media on our purported job offers. In this regard, we urge the public to be patient until we shall make such communications and that for now, we are not hiring," reads part of the letter signed by Silah Koskei, Public Relations Officer.
"Nobody should ask for money while promising you a slot at our facility. We are an equal employer," added the letter.
This comes after a section of online platforms announced that Rivatex was hiring over 3,000 staff following the official opening by President Kenyatta on Friday last week.
