High-profile men have been caught up in such relationships.

Amid all these, not many men from the Somali community have been linked to such affairs, a fact that might indicate they are not prone to such affairs.

Here are factors that could be driving that reality:

1. Somali men are not prone to overspending

Slay queens run after sponsors who can splash money on their lavish lifestyles.

And as they look for potential sponsors, such girls look for wealthy and highly stable men who can fund their weekend night outs without much struggle.

With this, it can be said that not many of Somali men have the willingness to spend money on girls.

Many of them are struggling to battle out the many problems back in their poor counties and spending on side chicks is never a priority to them.

2. Somali men value family units and commitment in relationships

The sponsor-slay queen affair is an aspect of unfaithfulness and only lasts as long as the partners involved are not committed.

Somali men want commitment in any relationships they get into.

With this in the minds of slay queens, it is obvious that they will never edge any closer to such men solely because they are not ready to be committed and thus causing conflict of interest.
